John Lewington

I have been fascinated with the IIrish Wolfhound since I was a young child, about 5 years old I think.  I had my first Irish Wolfhound in 1975 who went on to become an Australian Champion.  My interest in showing increased and I started lectures to become a dog judge.

After many examinations and lectures I graduated to All Breeds and have travelled the world judging our wonderful breed.  This includes countries such as England (3 times), Ireland (twice) Wales and all States in Australia.  North and South Islands of New Zealand, Thailand, Philippines, Borneo and the Canadian Irish Wolfhound National in the year 2000 and many times in that country.

I have judged many Irish Wolfhound Specialties in America including Rocky Mountains (twice), West Coast Specialty, Northern California Specialty, New England Specialty and Potomac Valley Specialty, and  Irish Wolfhounds at many all-breed shows across America.

I judged the Philadelphia American National All Breed dog show which was broadcast on TV where I also judged the Terrier group.

In 2015 our home bred Irish Wolfhound Supreme Ch Greycroft In Like Flynn”( (Errol)” was awarded Top Dog Alll breeds at the dinner showiheld  in Canberra,  Australia, The first and only time an Irish Wolfhound has qualified for th is prestigious event.

I judged Best in Show at the World on  Line Veteran dog show . I have also appeared in about 8 movies, TV ads and represented Australia at the Kings Cup Thailand Boxing in 1987.

I have had a very busy life.
