Halden, Norway, May 20th-may 23rd 2027

Elisabet Janzon

My life with sighthounds began in 1971 when my husband and I purchased our first Irish Wolfhound. From 1977 onwards, we actively bred the breed for more than 40 years and achieved great success in show rings throughout the Nordic countries. We still enjoy a very rewarding collaboration with well-known kennels around the world.

Scottish Deerhounds entered our lives in 1973. We exhibited them successfully and bred the breed for several decades. We also owned Norwich Terriers for many years, breeding them successfully, and a much-loved Bull Terrier was also part of our household.

Since 1993, Whippets have dominated our lives, and currently four Whippet ladies are our constant companions at home.

I have been active in a number of breed clubs and have served as President of the Swedish Whippet Club for the past ten years.

I received my judging license in 1996 and am qualified to judge all sighthound breeds.

I have had the honour of judging sighthounds in many countries around the world, seeing countless dogs, meeting many fascinating people, and gaining a wealth of experience.

I am delighted and honoured to have been invited to judge at the Irish Wolfhound Club’s show in Halden in May 2027, and I look forward to seeing many beautiful sighthounds!
